Avery Gipson named WINNER of the Eddie's Attic 49th Bi-Annual Songwriter's Open Mic Shootout!!!
Joining the ranks of John Mayer, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Clay Cook, the Jacob Jeffries Band, the Brilliant Inventions and more, on Friday, November 16, 2018, Avery Gipson was named the Winner of the Eddie’s Attic 49th Bi-Annual Songwriter’s Open Mic Shootout! After four rounds and 5 original songs, which included “Look What You’ve Done,” “Voices,” “Beautiful Light,” “Young and So In Love,” and “Maroon Kisses,” Avery was thrilled to make it to the finals and then hear her name called as the winner. Amidst a brilliant night of music from many extremely talented performers, she is very thankful and excited about the many opportunities to come!

“What started as any other venue’s Open Mic night, has now turned into one of the most sacred events in the Atlanta songwriter’s music scene. For 25 years, artists have flocked to the Eddie’s Attic stage to perform and earn a chance to compete in the Bi-Annual Songwriter’s Open Mic Shootout held every summer and winter. This competition is a rare opportunity for up-and-coming singer-songwriters to showcase their music in front of industry professionals and music fans. Past winners have used this event to springboard their careers heightening our Shootout to national fame.
