Named a 2020 National YoungArts Winner, Avery will be performing 02/29/20 at the Miami Theater Center in Miami, Florida as part of the National YoungArts Miami program!

I am so honored to have been named a 2020 National YoungArts Winner in the Singer/Songwriter category for Vocal Performance and am beyond excited to be attending and performing at the National YoungArts Miami regional program and exhibition the last week of February! The Dance, Jazz, Theater, and Vocal Performance Showcase will be held on Saturday night, February 29, at 8 pm, in Miami, Florida at the Miami Theater Center and tickets can be found here.

YoungArts winners in the visual, literary and performing arts have the opportunity to learn, connect and collaborate with fellow peers and luminaries in their artistic field. During the intensive, weeklong and all-inclusive program, February 25 - March 1, artists across 10 disciplines participate in master classes and workshops with internationally recognized leaders, including Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Carl Juste; Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Betty Wright; and MacArthur “Genius” bestselling author Edwidge Danticat. The accomplished young artists then have the opportunity to share their talents with the public through multidisciplinary performances, writers’ readings, film screenings and a visual arts exhibition.
